Reflecting on 2011 and Looking Forward to 2012

Lytle Cove Cottage finished 2011 with a wonderful New Year's Eve wedding and you couldn't ask for prettier weather!  It was 76 degrees in December!  How lucky were they?

I want to thank all of my wonderful brides and grooms that made 2011 such a great year for Lytle Cove Cottage.  Our third year in business was a great success!  We get to meet so many nice families and it's always fun to see how beautiful and unique all the weddings are.  We are having a great start to 2012 too!  We had our first 2012 wedding on January 14 and again the weather was close to 70 degrees!  They had their wedding right as it was getting dark so the guests enjoyed all the twinkling lights which really made for a romantic backdrop.

We have added more packages to our pricing brochure for 2012 which include our traditional DIY package for our brides that want to do their own decorating and we are now offering packages where we will do all the decorating and cleaning for you so you can completely enjoy your wedding and leave all the work to us!  We will have centerpieces and wedding themes for you to choose from along with colored linens of your choice and many other custom items to make your wedding as unique as you are.  We are glad to give tours by appointment.   For some of our latest wedding photos please see "Real Weddings" on our website.  Thank you for visiting our blog!

If I had a groom of the year award, this groom would win!

Saturday was such a beautiful day and we had one of the most wonderful weddings.  One of the highlights (besides the beautiful bride) was the romantic groom!  He bought and learned to play the violin for his beautiful bride as she was walking down the isle as a surprise to her!!  I was so impressed!    Another thing that I liked was their guest book.  It was a photo album with blank space on each page for guests to sign.  I thought that was a great idea!

Check out the website for more photos of our wonderful weddings at

A middle of the Week Wedding!

Wednesday weddings are not quite so popular as Saturday weddings but this beautiful bride and groom had many dear friends and family that came to help them celebrate their blessed event as if it were a weekend!  They had bright sunny colors of yellow and saige green which certainly belong in the summer time!

Please check our website to see photos of this beautiful wedding along with others of our latest weddings

Weddings, Weddings, Weddings!

It's time to catch up on some of our spring and summer weddings that we have been having at the Cottage!  Each and everyone have all been so beautiful and it amazes me how everyone decorates so uniquely with their own personalities.  It has been extremely hot but seems to cool down enough in the evenings for all the guests to enjoy the "love in the air" atmosphere in the outdoors.

FYI, we now have more space available for your out of town guests.  We have a very unique guest house opening up (may be called Lytle Cove Get-Away)  for rental along with Lytle Cove Cottage that we rent out any day of the week for over-night stays.  Both cottages rent for $500 per night on weekends and $400 per night on weekdays.  Check out our website for more information on our guest houses!

I will now be posting all the latest photos on the website, I can show them much bigger and many more of them.  Please go to our website and look under "Some of our beautiful Spring and Summer Weddings" to view all of the photographs. http://lytlecovecottage.com  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Jennifer and Chad - One of Our Most Beautiful and Colorful Weddings!

Jennifer and Chad were blessed with a most beautiful day to set the scene for their wedding.  Their chosen colors were purple and lime green and looked so pretty together.  Brenda, Jen's mother did an amazing job on all of the arrangements.  She's not a florist but with the help of the Holy Spirit as she told me many times she made the beautiful arrangements.  You will be impressed when you see them!  I told her she really needs to become a florist!  They had a candy bar that had 21 (correct if I'm wrong Brenda) different kinds of candy all in shades of purple and lime!  Ester Gonzales, http://weddingsbyester.blogspot.com/ ,a very talented wedding planner, also played a very big part in making this wedding beautiful.  Enjoy the photos!
