Some of our Wonderful Weddings!

It's already May 2, and we have  had some beautiful spring weddings!  But.... first of all check out one of our most beautiful weddings from last fall.  Katie and Stephen were the most wonderful couple in everyway!  I absolutely loved everything about their wedding and Stephanie Hunter, their fantastic photographer, has shared their beautiful images with us.  See for yourself!  http://www.stephaniehunterblog.com/search?updated-max=2011-03-22T15%3A33%3A00-05%3A00&max-results=7  Thank you Stephanie and congratulations on your recent engagement!  The wedding photographer is getting married!!!

Our first spring wedding was April 2 and God blessed Trey and Brandon with a beautiful spring day for their wedding.  I loved her colors of blue and turquoise, they looked so great together!  They made their own center-pieces with tall, slim vases filled with lemons and beautiful flowers.  You must check them out, they were so pretty and smelled fantastic!
Trey and Brandon were a very beatiful couple and were lucky enough to be related to "Two Pair Photography" who photographed their wedding.  http://www.twopairphotography.com/.  Check out their website, they are great photographers.

Rebecca and David

Vintage was the theme for their wedding and oh so pretty!  Rebecca covered the enire back wall of the Pavilion with beautiful flowing white fabric with different textures of ribbon and lace.  She used tea-pots as her center pieces.  Their colors of purple and gray were so pretty and David's mother is a florist and did all the flower arrangements.  Caroline Joy was the photographer http://www.carolinejoyblog.com, what a pleasant lady to have around, it looked like she did some amazing photos and I will be anxious to see them as much as you!  Rebecca's cakes were so beautiful and were made by Creative Cakes in abilene www.creativecakesofabilene.com
Here are a few images that I took:

THEY ARE LIKE FAMILY!

Last weekend we were privileged to have the Sander's back for a "cousins" reunion!  They were here last summer for a family birthday celebration.  I admire them so much for getting together with their family the way they do!  How many of us in today's world just don't think we have the time to set a part a weekend to get together with our families.  We are so happy they are choosing Lytle Cove Cottage for their celebrations and we will always welcome them home when they choose to come again!  While they were here, I absolutely turned over the whole place to them, assured that they would take good care of it, while we went to the Texas State Basketball tournament and got to see our Eula Pirates win the state championship!!!  Go Pirates!  As the Reporter News (www.reporternews.com) said:

                                                            B-Eula-ful!
Our lives around here have been nothing but basketball!   Many of you that have been here have met our son, Kainon who sets up and tears down the weddings for us.  He is a forward/post on the team and was honored with the MVP award at the tournament!  We are so proud of him and our Eula Pirates for making this the best basketball season ever!  Can't get any better than that!!!

What a great way to start 2011!

We began our 2011 with the beautiful winter wedding of Julie and Bryan.  They were married at six in the evening on January 8 under the Pavilion amongst twinkling lights and glowing candles and about 170 guests.  Their wedding was gorgeous and so were they.  Their families were all so nice to have around and Bryan's family from Amarillo, Texas got to enjoy their stay in the Cottage for the whole weekend.

Julie and Bryan kept their guests all snugly warm by providing outdoor heaters and fire pits and serving  hot-chocolate, coffee and hot cider.  God was so good and gave us beautiful weather for the winter event.  He held off on the rain until about midnight after the wedding.

Angela Olson was the event coordinator and did all the decorating for the event and made sure things ran smoothly, she is wonderful.  The reception was held inside the cottage.  June Shepard with Celebrations was the caterer.  The food was fabulous.  She served all different kinds of finger foods and the wedding cake was beautiful and had it's own room in the Parlor.

Bryan's family provided a fun milk and cookies table in the sitting room.  That was very popular.

Julie gave her bridesmaids cute polka-dotted umbrellas and gave all the guests their own packet of hot chocolate.  The photographers were "A Moment in Time Photography" and it looked like they were doing an awesome job and as soon as I get the link to their photos, I will pass it on.

Stay warm everyone........
